101 Things To Do San Diego is currently accepting submissions from writers & photographers.

Writers Guidelines:   We are currently seeking contributions that focus on an activity in San Diego County. Feel free to offer original ideas that would be interesting to locals and visitors alike. Submissions should offer a detailed description of activity including any historical data, and personal experience.

Submissions should range between 100-200 words and fall into one of the following categories:

Family Friendly
Food & Drink
Nature/outdoors/walking tours
Art/intellectual/cultural/literary
Nightlife/ On The Town
Luxury/Spa
On the Outskirts

All submissions should include a side bar that includes website, phone number and address for all pertinent references in the submission.

All articles submitted must be the original work of the submitting author. We prefer e-mail submissions. Please email as a Word document as well as pasted into the body of an e-mail to publisher@101sandiego.com. Be sure to include your name, mailing address, e-mail address and phone number. Include a brief bio (50 words or less) with your submission and the email or website you would like linked to on our website. Writers Submitting Photography: We accept photos via email saved in jpeg formats. They must be attached with your article. Please submit RGB images as jpegs no larger than 5x8 inches, at 300 dpi.

Photographers: We prefer e-mail submissions. We accept photos via email saved in jpeg formats. Please submit RGB images as jpegs no larger than 5x8 inches, at 300 dpi. Please email photographs to publisher@101sandiego.com. Be sure to include your name, mailing address, e-mail address and phone number on the cover letter. Include the email or website you would like linked to the photographs.

Compensation:

Articles:  Articles up to 100 words are compensated $25.00.  101 to 200 words are compensated $50.00.  Articles from 201 to 400 words are compensated at $100.00.

Once an article or photograph has been purchased it may be used in any format 101 Things To Do San Diego magazine or Alps Publishing decides upon.
